How we write and score setups

Independent content

Furneet does not accept payment from storage, furniture, or retail brands in exchange for placement, scores, or recommendations. Any future advertising on the site will be clearly labeled and kept separate from the setups and guides themselves.

How criteria are scored

Each setup is rated on a 1–5 scale across six criteria: storage capacity, difficulty level, budget level, maintenance effort, visual clutter reduction, and flexibility. These scores reflect a typical, reasonably sized version of the setup — your results will vary with the specific furniture, room dimensions, and effort you put in. We treat them as a starting comparison, not an exact measurement.

Sources and research

Setups are written from common, widely documented organization practices — the kind of methods professional organizers, interior designers, and long-running home publications reference repeatedly — combined with practical testing of the underlying furniture and storage logic. We do not claim any single setup is scientifically proven to be the “best”; home organization depends heavily on individual space and habits.

Corrections

If you spot an error, an outdated recommendation, or a setup that needs a clearer caveat, contact us and we’ll review it. Significant corrections are made promptly; the page is updated in place rather than republished under a new date.

Affiliate and advertising disclosure

Furneet may in the future include affiliate links to furniture or storage products, or display advertising, to support the cost of running the site. Any such links or ads will be disclosed on the page where they appear and will never influence how a setup is scored.
